I seem to have lost interest in blogging here. Maybe I'll write up some posts soon. I have been working constantly and working up a storm preparing for a craft fair so I guess this never crossed my mind.
Will be back soon.

Scoop Neck Vest
I really want to make this vest but there's two problems with it. One, it doesn't go up to my size. Two, the recommended yarn costs over $80 which is quite ridiculous for something like that. Even if I substitute yarn, I'm still not sure how difficult it would be to adjust it to fit me.
I'm already working on too many things right now anyways. This is just another thing to add to my long list of future knitting projects.

A new obsession.

I really want an Easy Weaver loom by Harrisville Designs. They're meant for little kids but I think it would be the perfect sized loom for me. I'd only want one to make scarves with.
The only problem is that the little suckers are quite expensive. It's about $100 for this guy here.
It might be worth the price but it's a lot of money for something I'm not even sure I'll like.
Hopefully eBay will come to the rescue.

I Feel Like Thumbelina

So this weekend I decided that I'm going to finish (well restart) the blanket/throw that I was supposed to make for my friend last year. I want to finish it quickly because I know I'll get bored working on the same stitch forever. So I found a pattern that uses the type of yarn she wanted that's only supposed to take 6 hours.
The reason it's so quick:
It uses 4 strands knitted together on SpeedStix.
This is probably the funniest knitting project I've ever worked on. The 25mm width needles feel so awkward.
I truly feel like Thumbelina.
The good thing is that it's actually going pretty quickly. The only thing I really don't like though is the hole-liness to it. But I guess with bigger needles comes bigger holes.

Bleh
I barely have time to work on any knitting now that I'm in school again full time and I have a part time job.
If only I had the time. I guess priority is key here.
Despite that, my to-knit list keeps growing and changing.
Here are some of the things I've been thinking about making:
Some sort of laceweight scarf
And a ton more things that are not high priority
If only I had the time. I guess priority is key here.

Just A Picture

I thought I'd just add a picture for the record. Just so you all see who I am. I'm a wanna be photographer and knitter and full time student.
I've been feeling so pressed for time lately, hence no posts. Hopefully I will get some moments to myself to work on a few things. Preferably some knitting. :)
I need to start getting some stuff for school. The time has just gone by so fast this summer.

Wedding

My brother's wedding was Saturday and I was the photographer. Boy was that stressful. They had never really officially asked me to do it, but rather they told me I was doing it. Luckily they hired another photographer for an hour to do formals. That was a relief for me because I hate doing formals. No one ever listens when you're calling different people over.
It was a very nice and efficient wedding. Everything was done in a timely manner and there was nothing excessive about it.
Evan (my nephew) was great. He's such a well behaved kid and it really showed then.
Now I have the daunting task of making a custom wedding album for them.
